I’m InterestEd

Hello, friends and fellow learners!

I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to share this journey with you. My name is Laura Mukerji (pronounced Moo-ker-”G”), and I’m passionate about creating spaces where learning feels exciting, personal, and full of possibility. Welcome to InterestEd Educational Solutions, a place designed to cultivate curiosity and nurture knowledge for students, educators, and families alike.

Here you’ll find resources, reflections, and creative tools to make learning more flexible, engaging, and meaningful. Whether you’re a teacher looking for fresh ideas, a parent supporting a gifted or curious learner, or someone who loves education, my hope is that InterestEd becomes a place that inspires and supports you.

A lifelong passion for learning

For over fifteen years, I’ve had the joy of working in many educational settings, from innovative learning centers and virtual schools to traditional classrooms and homeschooling. Each experience has shaped my understanding of how students learn best and reminded me that there is no one size fits all path to success.

My heart is in helping every child find their spark, the thing that makes them light up when they learn. I’m also honored to serve on the boards of the Wausau Conservatory of Music and the Wisconsin Association for Talented and Gifted (WATG), where I advocate for creative and inclusive learning environments that recognize the potential in every student.

Continuing my journey as a lifelong learner

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been accepted into the Gifted and Talented Add On Graduate Program at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. This next step allows me to deepen my understanding of how to identify and support gifted learners while continuing to design resources and professional development for teachers across Wisconsin and beyond.

Alongside my studies, I’m growing InterestEd, teaching courses both online and in person here in the Wausau community and connecting with learners who are as curious about education as I am.

Home, heart, and inspiration

When I’m not immersed in teaching or learning, you’ll often find me at home with my wonderful husband, our three inquisitive daughters, and our lively mix of pets, including two dogs and a curious cat. I’m also an avid gardener, and our growing collection of houseplants reminds me daily that nurturing growth, whether in people or plants, takes patience, care, and curiosity.

Laura

I started InterestEd to remind educators, parents, and students that learning should feel alive, not assigned.
