A Fresh Take on Choice Boards
A couple of weeks ago, I was catching up with an old coworker who asked if I still had that choice board template I used to use in my classroom. We started laughing about how our students used to dive into their projects—some creating posters, others building models, and a few turning in the most creative presentations we’d ever seen.
That conversation stayed with me. It reminded me how powerful student choice can be, and how a little flexibility can transform the learning experience. It also reminded me that the template I’d used for years could use a refresh.
So, I decided to rebuild it.
Editable choice board template for teachers designed by InterestEd Educational Solutions.
I wanted to create something ready-to-go—something that busy teachers could open and use right away without spending hours designing from scratch. The result is a Choice Boards for Differentiation toolkit that gives teachers structure, flexibility, and inspiration all in one place.
It includes editable templates, teacher-facing guides, reflection prompts, and an idea bank filled with creative options for students. But more than that, it’s meant to help teachers bring curiosity and ownership back into their classrooms.
If you’ve ever wanted to try choice boards—or just want a resource that saves you time while making learning more engaging—you can explore it below.
Sometimes, the best ideas come from conversations with the people who remind us why we started teaching in the first place.
